Technology, the more I think about it, the more it bothers me a bit because when I want to hide away and get work accomplished, something is always running, ringing or beeping.
There is a drone that happens everywhere all the time and most of it is due to things we plug in and charge.
Actually, I really like it, but it's funny how few excuses I can come up with when my parents are trying to get in contact with me. Sometimes everyone needs a breather, right?
In the past we could just leave the room where the phone is since it was all about landlines and even before that if, like WAYYYYY before that, we could just move to a different continent to escape those we didn't want to talk to; however today we are so lucky to never be far away from those who love us.
Perhaps my issue is that my online presence is often more descriptive than my off line life. I wrote to my mother to let her know I can be easier reached via comment boxes and inboxes via myspace. She didn't take to that too well.
So today I just want to unplug everything and not worry about my inboxes, but I know that eventually they always call me back!!!
