I am Connected to my Music!!!

Finally I feel connected to my music via my new video ipod. This is a big deal to me because I am moving from one point in my life to another. Good bye old CD player. Actually, I considered getting an ipod a long time ago and I kept thinking about it, but my CD player finally died and I realized that it was TIME. I always had a G1 old-school ipod on loan to me, but since it wasn't exclusively mine, I never had the feeling like I do now.

I am as excited with this new technology as I was with the notebook. I feel somewhat free and because of that I have not really turned the ipod off. I've listened to artists and albums that I haven't heard in YEARS and the crazy part is that I am listening to non-classical musicians. Usually I inundate my senses with whatever orchestral or solo music I am working on at the time, but now I can listen easily...for fun. Oh Fiona Apple, how I missed you!

Plus having fun with podcasts and video is just a whole other amazing thing to explore. Niccceeee.

me, too! iPod gave new life to my music library...i revisited albums and ancient genre..and that process is ongoing..and i am listening to recordings of my friends...and these personal recordings have taken on the luster of the more commercial albums...the technology levels the playing field... and the space inside my head becomes a multdimensional universe...

I only got my first iPod in December - I know how you feel! I love the fact that all the music I own is accessible to me at the touch of a button. No more searching for that CD! No more crying if the CD gets scratched (well, unless it's scratched before I upload to my iPod). Not all ipod users can have that same feeling though. Only the 30 and 60 gig ones are big enough to completely make this possible - the nano and the shuffle are big enough to hold a LOT of songs, but unlikely everything that a person owns.

The only downside of the iPod is that there really aren't instructions included. Aside from telling you how to register it and put songs on it, Apple just says "visit our website" and even then you have to practically pull teeth to find the answer to what you are looking for (like when I was trying to figure out what to do when my iPod froze.....)
